Textile Diploma :

Course Outline:

Following areas are currently taught as per the syllabi approved by the university

Introduction to 2D print design:

Students are given theme based assignment for rotary and hand screen printing on paper

using all sorts of techniques and Materials.

Hand Screen Printing:

Students make theme based 2d textile design for hand screen printing.

Weaving loom and offloom:

Students prepare wooden frames for decorative purpose through the technique of offloom weaving with experimental yarns and other materials.

Dying Techniques:

Students are given a basics knowledge about different Tie and Die Techniques on different Fabric.

Silk Painting:

Students briefly learn different silk and fabric painting techniques and try them on different fabrics making a variety of textile products.

Textile Sculpture:

A brief introduction to Textile/Soft sculpture is given in this course where students work in group and develop projects using different experimental textile material.
